Truth or Dare:
Reveal a Truth or Capture a Daring Image
InkBeat Literary Journal is hosting a photography contest for young people (14-19 years old) living in or connected to Asia.
The theme of the contest is Truth or Dare: Reveal a Truth or Capture a Daring Image. We want contributors to reveal something secret, hidden, or brutally honest and/or capture an image that is surprising, original, or bold.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a mentorship with an established photographer, which will take place by email and/or over Skype.
4th-7th place winners will win a year-long subscription to InkBeat Literary Journal and will be published on our website and social media platforms.
Photography: (5-7 photographs)
Photographs must be submitted in .jpeg, .jpg, or .gif format, edited for web, at least 760 pixels on the shortest side and no larger than 10 MB.
Photographs may be cropped, but only minimally enhanced or altered. Acceptable alterations include spotting, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast and slight color adjustment or the digital equivalents. If the judges determine that a photographer has altered his or her photo, they reserve the right to disqualify it. Please refer to the World Press Photography Contest's guidelines for more detailed guidelines.
Photographs that have won other major photo contests, either online or in print, are not eligible for submission. We define winning as having won a grand prize or 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place overall. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible.
